Check out this newspaper article in the Scranton Times-Tribune about Saints Francis & Clare Progressive Catholic Church – our community, our priest, and our members! I am humbled that I received a name drop and a quotation in the piece! All of this is God’s work, and it is marvelous in our eyes!

From St. Joseph’s Mission

‘Even now, says the Lord, return to me with your whole heart..’ what a blessed start to Lent. Our goal this year is to live simply, give more, expect less. Thank you to all who support and care about the mission and helping us to make the world a kinder and more forgiving place to be.

The Mission on the Move was honored to bless James Pasquale in his new role as Acolyte and seminarian for the Progressive Catholic Church last evening as he begins his training in the Diaconal formation program. James will be installed at Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Community in Scranton PA on Sunday. Another wonderful addition to the PCC and the vineyard of God! May God bless him always!

From St. Anne’s Fort Worth TX

From Fr. John Thomas Therese of St. Anne’s in Dallas/ Fort Worth TX

Today in other news, HEB donated 50 hams (25 shank, 25 butt) to St Anne ICC, the independent Catholic church I serve at with independent Catholic clergy from 3 different jurisdictions. I made a call to help families listed by the school district as needing a little help this Christmas. All I did was make one call to HEB and explained about the ICC/ISM.. I said, we’re “fully Catholic yet free of the Authority and oversight of Rome; inclusive and affirming..” He said, “Oh thank God, I’m divorced and Catholic… ..I haven’t been to Mass on years.”

The hams will be delivered throughout the remainder of this week. -and we hope he comes to Mass. Just like a Texan we drove around with Hams in the back of a pickup. (Dollar amount: $457.76)
