MANDATE FOR EPISCOPAL CONSECRATION

IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. AMEN.

To the faithful in Jesus Christ throughout the world, Greetings

Be it known to all by these Presents that we,
The Right Reverend A. Edmund N. Cass, CFS
By Divine Permissions, Presiding Bishop of the Progressive Catholic Church Having received notice that the Venerable Vicar General, Jason Scot Van Lieshout has been duly and legitimately elected as Auxiliary Bishop of the Progressive Catholic Church in the United States in accordance with the Constitutions and Canons of the Progressive Catholic Church, the said election having been ratified by a majority of the Council of Bishops of the Progressive Catholic Church.

After due reflection and prayer and in humble obedience to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, we have determined, in accordance with the ancient tradition of the Catholic faith and practice that to meet the needs of the Progressive Catholic Church in the United States, it is necessary to raise to the Sacred Order of Bishops in the Church of God, our well-beloved Priest and Brother:

VENERABLE VICAR GENERAL JASON SCOT VAN LEISHOUT

Now, therefore, we do authorize the consecration of Reverend Father Jason Scot Van Leishout to the Episcopate.

The Apostolic Mandate is issued under the Authority of the Council of Bishops of the Progressive Catholic Church in witness, where we have our Primatial hand and seal.

Given at Little Portion Friary, Greenville, South Carolina, this 9th Day of December, in the year of our Lord 2016

Please join Presiding Bishop A. Edmund Cass, CFS and the Consecration party as we Ordain the Venerable Friar Jason Scot Van Leishout to the Holy Order of Bishops.  The Sacred Event will be followed by a reception for all.
